SUMMER POISON IVY ALERT!

POISON IVY FROM YOUR PETS!

Can your pets give you poison ivy? Here’s a true story from the Oral Ivy™ archives.

Lewis E. Miller, developer of Oral Ivy™, was a practicing pharmacist. One day he received a call from a physician friend. “I have a house-bound patient who I think has poison ivy,” said the doctor, “and I’d like your opinion.” Miller and the physician paid a visit to the patient. She had an itching rash and blisters on her arms and face.
“It’s poison ivy,” said Miller. “No doubt about that.” “Impossible,” said the woman. “I never leave the house.”
As they were talking, a cat wandered into the room and jumped up on the woman’s lap. “Does your cat go outside?” Miller asked. “Yes, she’s in and out all day,” said the woman. “Well, there’s your poison ivy carrier,” said Miller.

Do your pets go outside? Do they wander in woods and fields? If you live in poison ivy or poison oak country, the irritating resin can rub off on their coats and be transferred to your skin.

Don’t take a “hands-off” approach to your pets: Take Oral Ivy™.
